OVERVIEW - THE HEALTHCARE CONTEXT
Spina Bifida is a type of 'neural tube defect (NTD)' - a birth defect that occurs when the spine and spinal cord don't form properly during early fetal development.
The most severe form results in lifelong disabilities.
A major side-effect is incontinence - the inability to control bladder/bowel movements.
We connected remotely, with a group of adult spina bifida patients to design a mobile first habit tracking/goal management app that helps manage their incontinence challenges.
