Project Overview
Just like Fantasy Football for the NFL, INDYCAR Fantasy Racing is a ‘racing’ themed fantasy sports product for INDYCAR motor racing series.
It allows fans to engage with the series by creating fantasy teams and predicting race outcomes.
Participants earn points based on the real-life performance of the drivers they select.
Through 2023, we conducted generative and evaluative research to create new mobile first design features for INDYCAR’s Fantasy Racing Game, with a view to enable greater in-game engagement around race events.

2022 data showcases short session times characterized in bursts only during race weekends.
Engagement with this product is concentrated within very specific timeframes.
Designed as a fantasy sports game, it drives and facilitates user interaction exclusively during it’s key sporting events, i.e INDYCAR races.
LIMITED WINDOW OF OPERATION
Engagement with this product is concentrated within very specific timeframes.
Designed as a fantasy sports game, it drives and facilitates user interaction exclusively during it’s key sporting events, i.e INDYCAR races.
There are 18 INDYCAR races each year, which represent 18 key engagement events.
Held from March to August, each race has a gap of about 1-3 weeks on avg.
Therefore, product engagement ebs and flows every 3 weeks. Like this

Cancer Caregivers &
Pediatric Oncologists, Nurses and Other Medical Experts
To co-create new care strategies for caregivers transitioning home with pediatric cancer patients

Our research process & discovery was focused on capturing this time frame from both perspectives to understand wants, needs, desires, challenges and necessities.
STUDY DESIGN
CONSTRUCTING PARALLEL TIMELINE / JOURNEY MAPS
Conducting an interactive event mapping activity was key. We were able to strategically map challenges, systemic health service challenges, wants, needs and opportunities.


INVESTIGATING SPECIFIC CHALLENGES ON DISCHARGE DAY
A key requirement to ensuring effective care at home is a smooth experience on discharge day. We posed targeted research questions to both groups to understand key engagements, interactions, resources and necessities for caregivers.
